Celebrate the End of Winter in the North Country
Established in 2017, The Maple Run is the premier half marathon in St. Lawrence County. We run to celebrate the end of winter, contribute to the economic growth of our community, and benefit local youth running programs. While The Maple Run encourages the sport of running for all, we proudly focus on girls’ and women’s cross country teams from high school to collegiate levels.

Work Hard, Play Hard
You're going to train all winter for a half marathon or 5K in Spring- you deserve some kudos and great gear. In-person finishers earn a wooden medallion. All participants will receive our signature mini-bottle of local maple syrup, and the now-iconic Maple Run crewneck sweatshirt.
To make training more fun in the winter months the Bucc Wild Run Club offers a free group run on Tuesdays, at 6 pm in Canton, NY.

Can I run with a stroller or my dog?

Volunteers are great and the heart of making The Maple Run go! Please contact Kara at themapleruncanton@gmail.com for more infromation.
-
What is the time limit for the half marathon?
The course will be open for 4 hours. Our time is ample enought to accomodate walkers and first time half marathoners-- so you are welcome at The Maple Run!
This is also a fair limit given the small group of EMS volunteers, and law enforcement vehicles who are giving their time to make this event a success. Walkers who can meet the 4 hour maximum are welcome to participate!

Is the in-person run chip timed?
The 2023 Maple Run is set to be chip timed by Underdog Race Timing.
